At a time when we are called to remember our place as custodians and stewards of this living and breathing planet, I hope this space helps you find your way. The writing, photography, artwork, and conversations you’ll find here seek to connect the threads between sea, soil, stars, and story.

I am a healing artist, mother, and gardener in northwest Ohio. I have the great honor of providing care for folks through acupuncture and astrology in my healing arts practice. I’ve been blessed to collaborate with and work alongside some brilliant people and organizations, including Project Nia, the Chicago Freedom School, Cordella Press, Crime Victim Services, the Breath Liberation Society, United Plant Savers, and Sounds True.

As a life-long student of eco-feminism, cosmology, and metaphysics, I’ve been fortunate to learn from amazing wisdom keepers, including Dr. Qianzhi Jamie Wu, Dr. Nelson Song Luo, Dr. Shengyan Grace Tan, Dr. Yongxin Fan, Dr. Yaoping Violet Song, Dr. Sonia Tan, Kelly Surtees, Chris Brennan, Caroline Casey, Virginia Rosenberg; and, always, my ancestors, elders, children, and more than human kin.

You can listen to a few threads I’ve shared through the years with Sheree Mack, Rose Blakelock, and Jamee Pineda.

Most of my writing will remain free to read and experience. I also sincerely welcome your support—if you’d like, you can upgrade to a monthly or annual subscription. You can also pay it forward by gifting an individual or group subscription.

Your reciprocity, comments, shares, and paid subscriptions help keep this project going. Thank you.

With gratitude,

Christian

I honor, respect, and uplift relatives of the Kiikaapoi (Kickapoo), the Shawandasse Tula (Shawanwaki/Shawnee), and the Myaamia (Miami) tribal nations on whose traditional lands the creation of this newsletter is made possible. Learn about the Indigenous people, territories, treaties, and languages where you are through the Native-Land Map.
